About
The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War traces its heritage back to shortly after the veterans organization, the Grand Army of the Republic was formed. Originally made up of the children of Union Civil War soldiers, sailors, and marines, the Sons welcomes both hereditary and non-hereditary members into the membership today. Together, as the inheritors of the Grand Army of the Republic's legacy, we strive to honor, remember, and preserve the memory of those who fought to save the Union.
